Toimittajaverkoston mittaristo

Abstract

Yrityksen käyttämät useat taloudelliset mittarit ovat seurausmittareita, joilla saa-daan kuvattua toiminnan taloudellista lopputulosta. Toimintaa näillä mittareilla pys-tytään harvemmin selvittämään. Siksi suorituskykymittareiden kehittäminen seura-usmittareiden rinnalle on ollut tärkeää sekä yksittäisen yrityksen että verkoston nä-kökulmasta. Verkostot mahdollistavat yritysten pääsyn sellaisiin tietoihin, markki-noille, resursseihin ja teknologiaan, joihin niillä ei muuten olisi mahdollisuutta pääs-tä. Toimivassa verkostossa on useita edunsaajia ja yritysten on koko ajan huoleh-dittava yhteisistä eduista ja tavoitteista.

Lähtökohtana tässä pro gradu tutkielmassa on kohdeyrityksen toimittajaverkoston mittariston toimivuuden kartoittaminen. Kartoituksessa selvitetään kohtaavatko toimittajien, ostajien ja tuotannonesimiesten näkemykset verkoston toimivuudesta. Tutkielmassa esitetään kehityskohteita tehdyn kyselytutkimuksen tulosten, haastat-telujen ja henkilökohtaisten havainnointien pohjalta kolmeen mittariin, jotka ovat toimittajien toimitusten reklamaatioiden määrän vaikutus, toimittajien toimitusvar-muuden vaikutus ja toimittajien osapuutteiden merkitys kohdeyrityksen tuotannos-sa.

Tutkielman lopputuloksena on, että kohdeyrityksen toimittajaverkostoa ja siihen liit-tyviä mittareita olisi hyvä kehittää. Kehitystä voisi tapahtua sekä toimittajaverkos-toon kuuluvien yritysten sisällä että yritysten välillä.

ABSTRACT

The challenge for organisations today is how to match and align performance measures with business strategy. However, there is a large disparity among organisations and networks in terms of which performance measures are used with many primarily focussing on financial measures. In the network, enabling elements are the structural and operational choices, achievements and capabilities, which are the seminal value drivers creating the base for the financial performance and profitability of the network.

A starting point for this study is to find out how supplier network-level performance measurement system works at the case company, which is the leader enterprise in this network. The objective is to describe how to develop the network-level system, especially in three measurements point of view: the effect of suppliers’ complains about delivery, the effect of suppliers’ delivery assurance and the importance of suppliers’ deficiency in delivery to the production of the case company. The empiri-cal data was colleted by using questionnaire, interviews and observations. A sup-plier network-level performance measurement system emphasizes win-win situa-tions in the network between the leader enterprise and the other members of the network.

The results of the study show that a network-level measurement system should be developed both inside of the case company and between the other members of the network.
