| dc.description.abstract | Humane autonomous technology—re-thinking experience with and in intelligent systems invites the reader to engage in a range of issues that span across sectors and disciplines. Ultimately, the core issue of artificial intelligence (AI) is a cultural one. Yet, we see that cultural underpinnings stemming from the heart of AI, bleed through to all areas of society. This introduction gives a brief oversight on the concept of humane, while explaining current issues pertaining to ethics in AI and how these relate to the present book.
