The purpose of this thesis was to investigate the ability of ABB internal tools to process engines that are manufactured according to the IEC 61800-9-2 standard. To simulate measured values, Adept’s basic program FCSmek was used. The calculations were com-pleted using Sinusoidal (Direct-on-line), Simple 2-level direct torque control and S113 calculation profiles. The same values were also simulated with DriveSize. Results showed that Sinusoidal calculation profile has the best calculation accuracy. Simple 2-level direct torque control calculation profile and DriveSize have the lowest degree of calculation accuracy. S113 calculation profile has the second best calculation accuracy and superior in speed than Sinusoidal calculation profile. Currently there is not an inter-nal tool that would calculate accurately the measured values, despite some simulated values are quite close to measured values.
