Organizations in the contemporary business environment are facing a demand to change and have capability to have responsiveness and quickness. While on top of having competency and flexibility to change. Thus, organizations have begun to aim for agility in all organizational levels. The focus of the thesis concentrates on the elements of organizational agility. The elements constituting the capabilities leading to agility, causes for organizations leading to have focus on agility, and the enablers forming the capabilities. Implementing agility in organization may be challenging and demanding various considerations for beginning the change towards organization having organizational agility. Hence, the purpose of the thesis is to gain understanding of the organizational agility and implementation of it. Furthermore, the theoretical framework of the thesis constitutes of forming the framework from the existing literature of the elements of organizational agility and different aspects in implementation in practice. The theoretical perspective in the theory sections is both from the holistic perspective of the phenomenon and a specific focus perspective on technology industries as much of the existing research is in the industry. At the end of the theoretical framework section, the theoretical framework is presented in a synthesis of both the elements and implementation of the phenomenon. The thesis empirically studies the phenomenon as qualitative research. The qualitative research was conducted as a single case study of a case company. The case company is operating in an advisory business with a focus on technology. The data collected for the empirical part was conducted by using primary and secondary resources. The data collection was gathered through having interviews, collecting annual reports, and public websites. The results of the thesis indicated that the elements of organizational agility and implementation in research literature are prevalent evidence in the case company. Responsiveness and quickness were capabilities of agility, the case company had concentrated. With regards to the implementation of agility, it was found to have evidence for existing literature, the implementation being conducted through different dimensions and scopes within the case company. For future research, it can be recommended to research organizational agility with a focus on networks.
