Tiivistelmä
There are many types of multinational company employees worthy of study with different implications for many of the HR practices described in this volume. This chapter introduces one such type – self-initiated expatriates (SIEs). Self-initiated expatriates are individuals who decide, on their own, to relocate to a different country to work and live. This chapter aims to demonstrate how understanding SIEs could shed additional insights into what types of expatriates may be more successful and how to manage them.
