Tiivistelmä
Many Born Global companies have managed to build success although many theories suggest that they should suffer from shortcomings which restrict growth and sustainable success. This thesis examines how Born Global companies use their resources and capabilities to build dy-namic capabilities and adapt and adjust their operations to respond to the changes and chal-lenges presented by fast changing business environment.
The theoretical part focuses on Born Global companies, internationalization and globalization theories and dynamic capabilities perspective in conjunction with the resource-based view of the firm. The empirical part follows a multiple case study which consists of three case companies. The findings based on the empirical data indicate that the dynamic processes of re-configuration, leveraging, learning and integration facilitate innovation and change in the firms and enable them to build sustainable success. Entrepreneurial mindset and partnerships surfaced as essential resources which further formed the foundation for sustainable Born Global success.
