Tiivistelmä
This thesis covers the SAP ERP-system, as well as the ERP-system characteristics generally, and the current order-delivery-process at the ABB Transformer-factory in Vaasa. Furthermore, by the mapping of data flows there are attempts to find unnecessary phases, so that in the implementation unnecessary phases could be left out.
To this date, there has not been any standard configuration for the order-deliveryprocesses, which every company can use, such as click-and-play, and for functionalities to be efficient. The case-company, which this thesis covers, as a transformer-factory, where most of the transformers are tailored to customer’s needs, also appears as a challenge in ERP-system implementation.
The describing of data flows was a big and challenging task, but it should be helpful to shorten the overall-time elapsing from order-to-product remarkably. It also helps SAP implementation, because the unnecessary phases could be left out. The processes are decreasing and this is a relief resource in the factory for other tasks.
At the end of the thesis, there will be a statement made about the current state of the order-delivery-process, and some suggestions for improvement will be made for the implementation in the future.
